Niagara-on-the-Lake Revisited

Just returned from Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada, home of the Shaw Festival.  Can’t resist putting up a few photos of a larger-than-life statue of George Bernard Shaw, one of four theatres, some local homemade candies, local establishments and, most striking of all, glorious flowers that abound everywhere.  The repertory company is a match for Broadway and London’s West End.  I’ve never been able to make up my mind whether I love food or theatre more.  I’m passionate about both.  This year I enjoyed productions of The Women, An Ideal Husband, The Doctor’s Dilemma, Harvey, Half an Hour (a one -act by J.M. Barrie) and John Bull’s Other Island. All this, wineries and good restaurants.  What more could you ask for?

You could ask for more time there. Then you could try a breakfast or lunch with the locals at The Little Red Rooster. Meatloaf sandwich, anyone?
